We hope you can hear us singing in your head! Even though we have been told to never quit our day jobs to enter the singing field, the sentiments are still the same.*** My mom gave us all a devotional called, Jesus Calling, last year for Christmas. I absolutely love it. One of the readings for this week said:
Do not be weighed down by the clutter in your life: lots of little chores to do sometime, in no particular order. If you focus too much on these petty tasks, trying to get them all out of the way, you will discover that they are endless. They can eat up so much time as you devote to them.
Instead of trying to do all your chores at once, choose the ones that need to be done today. Let the rest slip into the background of your mind, so I (God) can be in the forefront of your awareness. Remember that your ultimate goal is living close to Me, being responsive to My initiatives. I can communicate with you most readily when your mind is uncluttered and turned toward Me. Seek My Face continually throughout this day. Let My Presence bring order to your thoughts, infusing Peace into your entire being.
This year was a different year for me with the loss of my dad and last year was a different year for Beth with the loss of her mom. We both remarked that we let alot of things go for the holidays and it didn't make a difference in the end. Christmas will still come on December 25 and we will still be rejoicing that God sent his son so we can have eternal life!
We were so happy to experience the "Miracle of Christmas" with many of our customers in Branson. It was wonderful to see the Bible come to life and know that - "For where two or more gather in my name, there am I among them."
