 Prep Work for Retreat Projects:

Beth’s – Anything Goes by Marlous Designs – have 2 ½” strips cut according to the size of the quilt you are making. You can also cut the fabric squares of the center fabric before retreat.  Now you are ready to sew!

Carol’s--#1. Reversible Strippy Table Runner by Plum Tree Quilts (Carol’s is not reversible) – You will need (2) Tennie Packs or (20) 2 ½” strips and 20” X 56” for backing  (12 ½” X 12 ½” square up ruler is handy, but not mandatory!)

 Carol’s –#2. Squedge Wallhanging

 Squedge Wallhanging Prep Work

38” X 38”

**This project is not hard; however, it is easiest if you keep your strips marked.  First thing----lay out your fabrics and alphabetize them.  The pattern is included in the ruler package for the block.

You will need:

Squedge Ruler – Invisi-Grip to put on ruler is very helpful!

A – ½ yd – Bright Fuschia – (5) 3” X w.o.f.

You have also received (1) 4” X 22” for the center circles

B – ½ yd – Navy – (5) 2 ½” X w.o.f.

C – 1/3 yd – Light Blue – (5) 2” X w.o.f.

D – 2/3 yd – Multi Batik – (3) 2 ½” X w.o.f., (7) 2” X w.o.f.

E – 3/8 yd – Blue Batik with Silver – (3) 3” X w.o.f.

F – 5/8 yd – Lightest Purple – (3) 2 ½” X w.o.f. and (2) 4 ¼” X w.o.f.

G – 3/8 yd – Medium Lavender – (2) 2 ½” X w.o.f .and (3) 2” X w.o.f.

Sashing and Binding – 1 yd.-Navy – (6) 2 ½” for sashing and (5) 2 ¾” for binding

Cornerstones – 1/8 yd. – Bright Fuschia – (9) 2 ½” X 2 ½”

17” or larger square up ruler is great if you have one.

Group as follow for strip sets:

I – (2) 4 ¼”F (lightest purple), (2) 2” D (Multi Batik), (2) 2 ½” G (Medium Lavender)

II – (3) 3” E (Blue Batik with Silver), (3) 2 ½” F (Lightest Purple, (3) 2 ½” D (Multi Batik), (3) 2” G (Medium Lavender)

III – (5) 3” A (Bright Fuschia), (5) 2 ½” B (Navy), (5) 2” C (Light Blue), (5) 2” D (Multi Batik)

PLEASE NOTE:  If you sew your strips sets together before class, you MUST have a scant ¼” seam or the strip sets won’t be correct.  To check this, sew (3) 2 ½” X 10” strips together.  The center strip should measure 2".
